about Us

In Home Vet is an intimate practice with myself and my technician communicating with every client and potential client. Nicole Tinari, Niki, has worked with me for over 5 years and brings seasoned handling skills and knowledge to every visit. She understands the behavior and needs of animals with difficult backgrounds after years of fostering dogs and cats and owning many rescued animals herself. She offers nail trims and other services as part of her own business. More details can be found under Services.

About Me

I have always had a love of animals. I showed horses competitively as a teenager and initially wanted to be an equine vet specializing in sports medicine. As I went through my veterinary school training, I realized that the relationship that I developed with my clients and patients gave me much joy and that small animal practice complimented this passion best. I graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and continued my training at The Animal Medical Center in New York City with a medicine and surgery internship. I have practiced emergency medicine and been in general practice in New York City, Sturbridge, Massachusetts, and Montgomery County, PA, with a focus on internal medicine and behavior.

Although I no longer ride horses, I enjoy being outside and am learning to golf. I love to read and enjoy good food and wine. I have 3 cats and do consider myself a cat person, but this increases my enjoyment of my canine patients! Every visit gives me a much-needed doggie fix.
